Cellular lightweight insulating concrete roof deck systems are produced by combining cement, water, air, and foam concentrate in an onsite batch plant and pouring it into place over a steel or concrete structural roof deck. It may be used with polystyrene insulation bound one to eight inches thick with slopes up to ½" per foot. The insulation board is set into a slurry coat of wet concrete and then insulating concrete is placed over the insulation board. Once placement is complete, the concrete encapsulates the insulation board and becomes a remarkably strong and durable surface to accept a roof membrane. Both modified and single-ply roof systems can be installed over a lightweight concrete roof deck system. Because the insulation board is protected by lightweight concrete, it is rarely necessary to replace the insulation when you reroof. Use of a lightweight concrete roof deck system could save you the most expensive cost of your roof the next time you reroof.

Joint warranties are available with many roof membrane manufacturers that guarantee the reroofability of the Celcore insulation for up to twenty (20) years.
